STANDARD MIXES
Our standard mixes are designed to provide exceptional quality for both residential and non-specification mix requirements.
CUSTOM MIXES
We create custom mixes with ingredients that include fiber reinforcement, steel fiber, superplasticizer, silica fume, corrosion inhibitor, accelerator, retarder and others.
FLOWABLE FILL
Advancements with flowable fill mixtures have led to numerous applications including bedding and backfill for utility trenches, paving subbase, bridge abutment and retaining wall backfills.
SLIPFORM
Slipform curbs have distinct advantages over traditional pre-cast concrete and bituminous curb products. Slipfoms save time. One slipform crew can install hundreds or even thousands of feet of concrete curb in a single day. Slipforms are more economical. The installation rate allows for substantial cost-savings over traditional pre-cast concrete alternatives. Slipform has a smaller footprint and retains more job site lay down space. Slipform is of higher quality and greater flexibility. Slipform concrete is poured directly on the subgrade allowing quicker access for incidental landscaping before paving. Slipform is also highly durability. Due to its unique casting and installation techniques, your product will last longer than bituminous curbs and pre-cast units.
SHOTCRETE
Shotcrete or sprayed concrete is concrete or mortar conveyed through a hose and pneumatically projected at high velocity onto a surface, as a construction technique. It is typically reinforced by conventional steel rods, steel mesh or fibers. Shotcrete is usually an all-inclusive term for both the wet-mix and dry-mix versions. In pool construction however, shotcrete refers to wet mix and gunite to dry mix. In this context, these terms are not interchangeable. Shotcrete is placed and compacted at the same time, due to the force with the nozzle. It can be sprayed onto any type or shape of surface, including vertical or overhead areas.
PERVIOUS CONCRETE
Pervious concrete is a unique and effective means to address important environmental issues and helps to fulfill requirements in the LEED Building Rating Program. Pervious concrete captures stormwater, allowing it to seep directly into the ground, and is instrumental in recharging groundwater and reducing stormwater runoff. Pervious concrete is listed in the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) best management practice manual.
HIGH STRENGTH CONCRETE
We produce concrete with compressive strengths up to 10,000 psi. Our gypsum cement underlayments offer a broad product selection for various projects.
LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE
We produce concrete with lightweight coarse aggregate material including expanded shale, clay and slate materials. These mixtures have porous structures.
INTERLOCKING CONCRETE BLOCKS
Our concrete blocks are perfectly suited for use as retaining walls and security walls. They are available at our Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery County locations. All concrete blocks have steel hooks for easy lifting and weigh 2 tons (4000 lbs) each.
At Delaware Valley Concrete we strive to produce the most environmentally friendly concrete we can. We manufacture concrete that meets the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) specifications set forth by the U.S. Green Building Council. We help to minimize the environmental impact of construction projects with specially designed concrete mixes and delivery practices. Various Supplementary Cementitious Materials are used to lower our carbon footprint and improve the durability of our product. Whether it is using recycled Fly Ash, from coal power generation, or Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag, from the steel industry. Along with using SCM’s we source all of our raw ingredients; Cement, Fly Ash, Slag, and Aggregates, within 100 miles of our production facilities.
